The Medical Laboratory Technology program trains graduates to perform medical lab tests and procedures critical to the diagnosis. FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences offers Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with intensive bench training, formal and informal lectures, tutorials and case studies followed by hospital practicum. MLT is a profession that combines the challenges and rewards of medicine with laboratory science. Medical laboratory Technologists perform complex and varied laboratory analyses, and use critical thinking skills in determining the accuracy and validity of test results. In diverse health care settings, clinical laboratory scientists provide test results used by physicians in determining: the presence, extent, and causes of disease; monitoring therapy; and evaluating testing protocols to insure optimum and safe public health applications
